A SIP calculator is a planning tool that projects the future value of a Systematic Investment Plan — a fixed amount invested in a mutual fund at regular intervals, usually monthly. Instead of guessing, you get the total maturity value, how much of it is your own contribution, and how much is estimated market return.
Because each instalment compounds for a different length of time, the maths is tedious by hand. This calculator applies the standard future-value-of-an-annuity formula so you can compare plans in seconds.
If you invest ₹10,000 at the start of every month for 20 years and assume a 12% annual return (1% per month), you make 240 SIP instalments and invest ₹24,00,000. The calculator estimates a maturity value of ₹99,91,479 — your ₹24,00,000 principal plus ₹75,91,479 in estimated gains. In rounded terms, ₹24 lakh may grow to about ₹1 crore. This illustration assumes a constant return and excludes taxes, expense ratios and exit loads; actual mutual fund returns are not guaranteed.
Returns are never guaranteed, but these long-term ranges are widely used for planning. Tap one to load it into the calculator above.
